Welcome to Nightingale Nursing Home.

Nightingale Nursing Home was purpose built in 1996. The home is situated in a quiet, rural setting and is surrounded by large landscaped gardens.
The combination of a practical, modern building with traditional styling, proved popular with residents and visitors alike. Following high levels of demand, the home was extended in 2005.

The home now comprises 34 beds accommodated in private and semi-private fully furnished bedrooms.

Nightingale understand that when adapting to a new environment residents often like to have familiar items around them and are therefore encouraged to personalise their rooms.

As a facility for care of older people, they strive for excellence in all areas of their practice.

The Nightingale team of dedicated nursing staff provide the highest standard of 24 hour care. They combine up to date facilities with a safe, comfortable and homely environment.

Their belief that quality care should be a right, not a privilege is reflected in the health and happiness of their residents.

Nightingale Nursing Home continually strive towards a policy-lead, person-centred practice, where choice, maintenance of dignity and respect are core values and at the heart of their enterprise.

What is the Nursing Homes Support Scheme?

The Nursing Homes Support Scheme provides financial support towards the cost of long-term nursing home care. Under the scheme, people who need nursing home care have their income and assets assessed, and then make a contribution towards the cost of their care based on their assessment.

The HSE will pay the rest, if any, of the costs of their care in designated public and approved private nursing homes covered under the scheme. People can choose care in any of the nursing homes included in the scheme provided that the nursing home can cater for the person's particular needs and that it has a place available for the person.

As the budget for this scheme is fixed each year, at times a waiting list for financial support may be in place
